Gurkha Brigade Association

All those leaving the Army, no matter how long their service, are strongly encouraged to join the Gurkha Brigade Association. The Association fosters camaraderie and friendship and provides a means to maintain contact with the Brigade and with friends and colleagues from military service. The Association can be found at www.gurkhabde.com

A Gurkha can elect to be discharged in either the UK or Nepal; in both situations resettlement training and advice are available to help him make the transition from military to civilian life. Leaving the Army, for whatever reason, can be a worrying time and extensive advice and help are available in the areas of housing, employment, education, finance including pensions and health and welfare.
